[gdal-dev] ArcSDE: connection times too long

I am very, very happy to report that this is working perfectly!! And fast!

The only thing I needed was to include the version tag to the connection string, even if it's the default. Go figure...

So use a connection like this to have a quick connection:

ogrinfo -so -ro SDE:server,5151,,user,pdw,user.featureclass,SDE.DEFAULT user.featureclass

You can create a .vrt file and add it to QGIS. Works wonders!
