[gdal-dev] HDF5 COSMO-SKYMED metadata problems

Hi:

I'm trying to get georreference information from an HDF5 COSMO-SKYMED file.

I used HDFView to see the file's metadata and found that in this type of
HDF5 files the georreference information is stored in the metadata
corresponding to the "root" of the file.

The problem is that when i try to use gdalinfo to get the file's metadata,
it shows the metadata asociated to all the subdatasets included on the file,
but not the root's metadata...

My cuestions: How do i get the metadata asociated to the "root" of the file?
Is there a better way to get georreference from COSMO-SKYMED HDF5 files?
