[gdal-dev] Aster tif files to hgt

Hello Mira,


You should be able to convert directly to this format with gdal_translate.
Something like

gdal_translate -of SRTMHGT input.tif output.hgt

I have done this in the past to convert to the SRTM format and it has
worked fine.
