[gdal-dev] Build GDAL - visual studio version

If GDAL is linked statically, and I recompile my library, will this still be the case? Can I recompile GDAL with MT instead of with the DLLs?

Yes, Web-search for Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable Package
and choose appropriate version of the package.
