[gdal-dev] GDALSimpleSURF improvements

Any chance you could generate a patch or (even better) a pull request for this from http://github.com/OSGeo/GDAL ?
GDAL 1.10 is coming quite quickly, and I'd be happy to do some of the configuration effort to integrate this if there's a clean pull request to merge.
