Hi Chaitanya,
This works great, thanks a lot for the advice. Here is basic code pattern:
inputDataStr = "<input_geojson_or_gml_str>";
gdal.FileFromMemBuffer('/vsimem/temp', inputDataStr);
inputDriver.Open('/vsimem/temp', 0);
