[gdal-dev] Retrieving the bounding box of a shapefile using python API

Hi,

I'm try to use the ogr python api to retrieve some information from a shapefile.
I see this documentation, http://gdal.org/python/
But I find nothing to retrieve directly the Bounding box of an entire shapefile.

Is this possible or is need to calculate it feature by feature ?
