2.0.2 would be quite important for me as it contains a fix to #6149. I actually already released a module to CPAN, which depends on that bug fixed. ;) 17 other tickets have been filed and none are active. https://trac.osgeo.org/gdal/roadmap I know that it won't happen without somebody making it happen, I'm just wishing.
