Ok, I crossed this issue also while linking against HDF5.10 and tested that
having both

_HDF5USEDLL_ and H5_BUILT_AS_DYNAMIC_LIB

works well for 5.10 and 5.8.12 (with the later _HDF5USEDLL_ was good enough)
