[gdal-dev] Suspected 'bug' in GDAL conversion of openstreetmap_ids

I'm trying to convert a series of Open Street Map files to MapInfo and the
node files fail on negative osm_id
Has GDAL been updated to handle 64 bit ids that were introduced several
years ago?
The error has been occuring for a number of years when using the versions
of GDAL in the arch-linux  repositories in conjunction with QGIS versions
from 2.1.0 up to 3.4.1 on arch-linux and on 3.2 thru 3.4.4 on Windows 7 & 10
