Hi,
Still no luck with OSGeo4W by using the Advanced Install alternative and then selecting to install “gdal-filegdb” from the Libs category? You wrote that you can see the dll (ogr_FileGDB.dll I guess), is it in OSGeo4W64\bin\gdalplugins like I have? If you open the OSGeo4W Shell and run command
ogrinfo --formats |find "FileGDB"
what do you see? For me it shows
FileGDB -vector- (rw+): ESRI FileGDB
OpenFileGDB -vector- (rov): ESRI FileGDB
Drivers which have some non-open license are usually not included by default. In default Linux distributions it is a no-go and vendors also require users to accept their EULA. With the OSGeo4W installer you can accept the ESRI license.
If you still have some problem send me a private mail so we can find some channel to chat and try to fix your problem.

Hi!
It seems so easy for you guys, installing a new driver in ogr2ogr. But I haven’t found any information about how to do that in Windows.
I can see that I have the driver dll located in the gdal library….
Do I have to build the program again with Visual studio (don’t have).
Is there a reason for not having all the drivers linked in the default distribution pack?
Kind regards,
Paul

Thanks Stephen,
You are right, it is available in OSGeo4W and installs nicely
ogrinfo --formats |find "GDB"
FileGDB -vector- (rw+): ESRI FileGDB
OpenFileGDB -vector- (rov): ESRI FileGDB

I think you can install the ESRI FileGDB from OSGeo4W:
http://download.osgeo.org/osgeo4w/x86/versions.html - see gdal-filegdb

Hi,
You may be behind a proxy server and you must use the Advanced Install
altertative which shows you a box to feed the proxy url. However, you can't
install driver https://gdal.org/drivers/vector/filegdb.html with OSGeo4W.
Perhaps it is due to license requirements because that driver requires File
GDB API SDK from ESRI
http://appsforms.esri.com/products/download/#File_Geodatabase_API_1.3.
The other driver that you wished comes with the OSGeo4W and also with the
binaries from gisinternals.com<http://gisinternals.com>
ogrinfo --formats |find "FAA"
AeronavFAA -vector- (rov): Aeronav FAA
It may be that you need to hire somebody to make you a special Windows build
with the ESRI fgdb. I have managed to do that through this mailing list
sometimes and at reasonable price.
