Hi,

No, it was not a manual try. GDAL, before your fix, creates a  .hdr file that shows rotation=90 with command

gdal_translate -ot UInt16 -scale -of ENVI -outsize 1025 1025 dgm1_32372_5680_2_nw.tif dgm1_32372_5680_2_nw.raw

The mention of 90 in the stackexchange thread is confusing. I think it is a manual try, but the original GeoTIFF used for convertion, and which triggered the error message, has a positive value for the y-res / south-up orientation, so a 180 deg rotation
