[gdal-dev] Causes of GDALCreateGenImgProjTransformer returning null?

Hello, I am using the c++ API of GDAL 3. I am having a crash during ChunkAndWarpImage, and the cause seems to be that GDALCreateGenImgProjTransformer returns null while I am setting up psWarpOptions.
I have also tried GDALCreateGenImgProjTransformer2, which also returns null. Does anyone know what some common causes of this would be that I could investigate?
