It looks like you missed a " " after -DCMAKE_BUILD_TYPE=Release when configuring GEOS:

> set_property(TARGET GEOS::geos APPEND PROPERTY IMPORTED_CONFIGURATIONS RELEASE-DCMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX=/USR/LOCAL)
