Any advice on how to become a tester such as testing on prefered OS and
setup?

I have access to a proxmox server but I usually stick to LINUX OSes.

Or is at easy as following the notes here:
https://gdal.org/development/dev_environment.html

Ubuntu 22.x is the goto right now.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Rob
