[gdal-dev] dealing with complex (a+ib) images

Hi

I have to create a complex number (real and imaginary part) image out of
two "normal" images or bands.
How can I do it?

Next I want to split the complex image in two, real and imaginary. How can
I do it?

Unfortunately there is no way to show the complex image in QGIS (to check
that I am doing it rightly).
