[gdal-dev] New build warning

Our Mac instances must use the Apple-provided compiler I suppose. We
also have a Linux CI config using a recent clang (from Fedora:rawhide,
so cutting edge)

OpenMP detection is done through the CMake provided FindOpenMP module:
https://cmake.org/cmake/help/latest/module/FindOpenMP.html

But I would expect your compiler to support it although it is not
cutting edge.

You can explicitly disable it by setting -DGDAL_USE_OPENMP=OFF
