Whilst following the Proj side of this discussion I found
a message from Greg thta I wish to reply to

Even though I think there is a (small) place for AI assistance
I'd like to encourage those with repo access to feel confident
to close issues and PRs that they consider to be more of a nuisance
than a help.

After all, many bug-tracking systems have "WONT-FIX" as a potential
option.

Thank you all for maintaining GDAL and the other parts of OSGeo.
