environment I'm using rather than anything related to GDAL/GEOS...which is kind
of what I figured since both of those libraries usually compile without

GEOS support. The GEOS source<BR>is not part of GDAL so you need to
pre-build and install GEOS if you<BR>want to configure GDAL with
it. I don't know if PostGIS is using<BR>GEOS 2.0 yet or not. I
haven't actually tried to GEOS enable my PostGIS<BR>installation
