Thanks for the info. So far I've been using the fwtools. Now,
I tried building gdal for the first time but I got the following error
message at the end of the process<br><br>

fatal error LNK1106: invalid file or disk full: cannot seek to

Stop.<br><br>
The HD am building on has 42 GB of free space. Any suggestions on
what's going on?<br><br>

Erdas .aux files are in Hierarchical File Architecture format,<br>
the same as .img files. You can read the specification<br>
documents from Erdas (err, Leica).<br><br>

You can also dump .aux files with the "hfatest" utility<br>
that can be built in gdal/frmts/hfa. You would use it
