<div>I'm pulling my hair out trying to get osgdem or gdal or rudolf the red nosed reindeer to successfully add a texture into something that looks like dirt. I'm not a 3D programmer or a GIS spatial type - so if I use the wrong technical terms in the wrong place it's not because I'm trying to look smarter than I am, it's because I'm dumber than I look.</div> <div> </div> <div>I can create a very cool looking (and thanks to all who have gone before me to make it work) terrain mesh in OSG. But the ONLY texture file that seems to work is the geoTIFF DEM file itself. Can someone _please_ outline a process - command line options or utility programs or whatever - to combine the two files into a terrain mesh that looks like dirt. Please use small words - to borrow a phrase - I'm a bear of very tiny brain.</div> <div> </div> <div>What follows is the technical mumbo-jumbo of the two files in question:</div> <div> </div>
