[chowell] - Great idea. I suggest a layout something like this. <br>
gdalVERSION.dll (native dll)<br>
gdalVERSION-wrap.dll (wrapper dll)<br>
gdalVERSION-CSharp.dll (C# dll obviously), or whatever binary language
we're building to. <br>
<br>
<pre wrap="">Are you planning to use separate scripts/batch files to create these binaries?
</pre>
[chowell] - I don't see a need for seperate scripts/batch files, I
prefer to execute 1 script to run and build everything you need. I
would fear multiple scripts and batch files a maintenance nightmare. <br>
<br>
<pre wrap="">It should also be noted that currently ms4w should contain the C#
related binaries for the stable branch, however unmanaged part of the
wrappers (*_wrap.dll) are still missing from the package as I can see.
[chowell] - I can include these if you wish.
Cheers

<pre wrap="">Frank,
I wonder if we could incorporate a policy in gdal how these
complementary packages (like gdal-csharp) are created for the osgeo4w
binary distribution. It would be desirable to add the corresponding
variables/targets to the gdal windows makefiles either.

Maksim,
I have asked Chris Howell to work on preparing GDAL 1.5.1 binaries,
and then csharp wrappers as well. If you want to track progress, please
add yourself to the CC: list for:
