I never use gdal_retile, but i use gdaladdo. It's perfect and there's no qualtity degradation.<br>gdaladdo create one tiff (or other format if you want) overview, containing different level.<br>Syntax : gdaladdo -ro filename 2 4 8 16 32<br>
