<p dir="ltr">Every time I build GDAL on Windows I have lots of pain as I need to build for debug, release, x86 and x64.</p>
<p dir="ltr">Having looked in the list archives I noticed that there has been some experiments with using cmake.</p>
<p dir="ltr">What would be required to adopt cmake build system? </p>
<p dir="ltr">Why did the previous attempt fail to be completed?</p>
