As a result of our fundraising activity and development of NumFOCUS as a financial conduit, it is my pleasure to put forward a motion to approve Alessandro Pasotti as a contracted GDAL maintainer for the period beginning on November 21st, 2022 and ending November 21st, 2023.<br>

The terms of the contract are for a maximum of 250 hours at 110 €/hr.<br>
<br>
Alessandro will plan to focus on GDAL tasks that make it easier to developer GUI applications like QGIS (of which he is also a very active contributor). This includes testing, APIs, and driver hardening.<br>
