<p>Hello all,</p>
<p>apologies if this has been asked before - I couldn't find
anything, but might have missed past messages.</p>
<p>Does anyone know if someone ever considered implementing a <b>GDAL
driver for the ISOXML format</b> used in Digital Agriculture /
Precision Farming?</p>
<p>It would be very useful to support it in GDAL, so both GIS
software and Farm Management Information Systems (FMIS) could much
more easily integrate it, offering read/write support.</p>
<p>To my knowledge, there is no standardized support for this as of
today. However, even though ISOXML has been around for a while, it
is an established industry standard, and widely used throghout the
growing Smart Farming community.</p>
<p>I am a software engineer and would be willing to work on a
driver, even though I'm not familiar with GDAL core code at all so
far. Anyone who would be interested in joining? My employer might
offer options for funding.</p>
