    <p>yes, you can set the GDAL_DEFAULT_WMS_CACHE_PATH configuration
      option. It is already mentioned at
      <a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="https://gdal.org/drivers/raster/wmts.html">https://gdal.org/drivers/raster/wmts.html</a>, although not that much
      visible.</p>
    <p>I've submitted <a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="https://github.com/OSGeo/gdal/pull/10398">https://github.com/OSGeo/gdal/pull/10398</a> to
      improve that.</p>
    <p>In the meantime, you can refer to
      <a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="https://gdal.org/drivers/raster/wms.html#configuration-options">https://gdal.org/drivers/raster/wms.html#configuration-options</a>
      since the WMS driver is unused underneath of the WMTS one.</p>
