TL;DR version:<br>
<br>
- new package libgdal-core with a reduced number of dependencies (and <br>
thus drivers)<br>
<br>
- libgdal is now a meta package that installs libgdal-core and <br>
libgdal-XXXX driver packages (where XXXX=hdf4, hdf5, netcdf, pdf, pg, <br>
tiledb, etc.)<br>
<br>
- gdal (python bindings + utilities) now depend just on libgdal-core, <br>
and not libgdal<br>
