Conference and a workshop will be organized in Nairobi, Kenya, both to present and discuss the scientific results of the Modelling and forecasting African Urban Population Patterns for vulnerability and health assessments (MAUPP) project and to demonstrate the potentialities of the developed datasets. Use of population maps for urban  planning and health management: practical exercises in QGIS

In the framework of the MAUPP research project, a large and freely- available spatial database has been built for about 50 cities in sub-Saharan Africa and are ready to be used for health and vulnerability assessments. The database includes built-up density, land cover, land use and population density maps at different spatial resolutions.
