Asunto: [Geo4All] Heriland Project - ITN - PhD projects for young researchers
Dear All,
The UNEP/GRID-Warsaw Centre is a partner of the HERILAND project
(Cultural Heritage and the Planning of European Landscapes), which is
implemented as a pan-European scientific cooperation network under the
Marie Sklodowska-Curie Innovative Training Networks (ITN) program. The
project involves the organization of a comprehensive training program
for a group of 15 early-stage researchers from any country in the world.
They will have the opportunity to prepare their doctoral thesis in
cooperation with scientific institutions from the Netherlands, Israel,
Sweden, Italy, Great Britain, and Poland. From February 15 to April 1,
2019, we all are waiting for the submission of applications for a
selected position in order to participate and implement in a research
project within one of the fifteen topics. We think this is a great
opportunity for young scientists to prepare their doctoral thesis in an
interdisciplinary group. For the two workpacakges (WP3 Digital
Transformation and WP5 Changing Environments) the area of research
projects is covered with innovative applications of geoinformation and
information technologies. Detailed information on the subject of
research projects are published on the project website:
https://www.heriland.eu/phd-application/, and brief summary in attached
file.
I would like to kindly ask you all to disseminate this information to
students/graduates who meet the participation criteria.
In accordance with the requirements of the ITN program, a young
scientist may apply in a situation where at the time of recruitment meet
both formal conditions: (1) they have no more than four years of
experience in conducting scientific research counted from obtaining the
title allowing the opening of a doctoral degree in the country in which
the title has been granted or to the host country; (2) may be employed
by the institution of the country in which they did not stay (study,
work) for more than 12 months during the 3 years before employment.
Thank you in advance,
Monika Rusztecka
