Through this placeholder we would like to invite you to the TNO webinar Air Quality Management Using Satellite Data for Latin America on September 25th at 4:00 P.M. (Amsterdam/UTC+2) / 10:00 A.M. (Santiago/UTC-4). This webinar is part of TNO's initiative aimed at Latin America promoting the use of satellite data for air quality management. The event will cover several topics on how together we can decrease air pollution levels and curb the emission of greenhouse gases within your country, using satellite data. The duration of the webinar is estimated at 2 hours.

TNO, one of the largest independent research and technology organizations in Europe, will provide this free webinar based on its extensive heritage in developing satellite instruments, such as the TROPOMI instrument on the Sentinel 5p mission (ESA), and the utilization of satellite data, e.g. for the Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service (CAMS) of the European Union. The main topics that will be discussed are as follows:

  *   Air quality management: monitoring and reducing air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions using satellite data.
  *   The TROPOMI satellite instrument: how does it work?
  *   The LOTOS-EUROS (open source) air pollution model explained.
  *   How can this be applied in your region?

Con esta noticia de reserva provisional nos complace invitaros al webinar del TNO para América Latina sobre la Gestión de la Calidad del Aire a través de Datos de Satélite por celebrar el 25 de Septiembre 2020 a las 4:00 p.m. (hora de Amsterdam/UTC+2) / 10:00 a.m. (hora de Santiago de Chile/UTC-4). Este webinar es parte de la iniciativa del TNO dirigida a Latinoamérica que promueve el uso de datos satelitales para la gestión de la calidad del aire.  El evento abarcará varios temas relacionados con la reducción de los niveles de contaminación del aire y la limitación de la emisión de gases invernaderos en su país, con el uso de datos de satélite. La duración planificada del evento es de 2 horas.

TNO, una de las principales organizaciones de investigación y tecnología independientes en Europa, ofrece este webinar de libre acceso basado sobre sus amplios antecedentes en el desarrollo de instrumentos para satélites, como el instrumento TROPOMI incorporado en la misión Sentinel 5p de la Agencia Europea Espacial (ESA), y en la aplicación de los datos de satélite, por ejemplo para el Servicio de Monitoreo Atmosférico Copernicus (CAMS) de la Unión Europea.

Los temas principales del webinar son los siguientes:

  *   Gestión de la calidad del aire: el monitoreo y la reducción de la contaminación del aire y de las emisiones de los gases de invernadero a través de datos de satélite
