The result is the book: "Geospatial Technologies and Geography Education in a Changing World" that was published by Springer in August 2015. This publication informs to an international audience of teachers, professionals, scholars, and policymakers about the state of the arts and prospects on geospatial practices and lessons learned in relation to geography education. The panel will gather editors and some authors to present their experiences and final remarks of this important contribution not only to geography educators but also to geographers in general. The panelists will engage in a special conversation about opportunities and challenges as well as strategies for the 21st century. The central theme of this panel is the agenda of GST in geography education for the future.
