[Ica-osgeo-labs] Winter School on "Open Source Development of Geospatial Technology"

Thanks Suchith. 

Well, this will be a first initiative of its kind here to help encourage people to understand and modify a tool, rather than be passive users of the toolset. We plan to open up the world of Open Source Coding in Geospatial tech and try to get users to be part of the application design/requirements definition process. Hoping that it will be a good experiment to connect theory, practice and utility. Will share the experiences later. 

Also, happy to share that I received the Indian National Geospatial Award 2013 from the Indian Society of Remote Sensing, early this month. This award is towards recognition of contribution in the field of geo-spatial science, technology and applications for work done in India. And well I consider this a recognition of all the contributions that by current and past members/students of the Lab, have done.
