[Ica-osgeo-labs] Advisory Board for the ICA-OSGeo labs initiative

Hi all,

In the ICA-OSGeo labs meeting at FOSS4G 2013  http://wiki.osgeo.org/wiki/FOSS4G_2013_BirdsOfAFeather#Education_and_ICA-OSGeo_Labs_meeting    in Nottingham (sorry i didnt get time to follow it up till now), i briefly discussed the need to setup an Advisory Board for the ICA-OSGeo labs initiative.

As we are growing rapidly and crossed our 50th lab it is time to set up an Advisory Board (12 member) for the ICA-OSGeo labs initiative for the long term . The Advisory Board will be composed of thought leaders (not necessary with GIS background)  to give us broader vision and ideas for the future. It will have OSGeo President, ICA President and also key members from other GI organisations (OGC, ISPRS, AGILE, UNIGIS, GSDI, UCGIS etc) to give us wider inputs and global representation.

We are aiming to get this setup by November end. Your thoughts/ideas are very welcome.
