There is an opportunity for us to organise a session for Autocarto 2014. Details below

in 2012, Mike Finn (USGS) organised an  excellent workshop for our commission along with colleagues from the ICA Commission  on Maps and the Internet

It will be good, if any of you are interested to lead organising another workshop for the ICA Commission on Open Source Geospatial Technologies at Autocarto 2014. It will be also a great opportunity to share ideas on "Geo4All" to more colleagues in US universities.

We are preparing for the AutoCarto 2014 meeting to be held in Pittsburgh, PA, USA, October 6-8, 2014 (http://www.cartogis.org/autocarto.php). The technical sessions of AutoCarto 2014 will be Oct 6-8, Monday through Wednesday, and we have reserved Sunday, October 5, 2014 for Commission Workshops of ICA. Space has been reserved for these workshops. We would welcome any of the ICA Commissions to host such workshops.

Please contact me if you would like to host a Workshop for your Commission at the AutoCarto 2014 meeting.

We hope you will be able to join us for AutoCarto 2014.
