Dear colleagues,

I came across info on Newton Fund which will be of interest to our lab members in those countries where the call is applicable. Its aim is to develop science and innovation partnerships that promote the economic development and welfare of developing countries.

The fund is £75 million each year from 2014 for 5 years.

Though the call has not come out, we should be planning ideas for proposals/bids etc as we are well positioned to look into proposals in sustainable cities, AgriGIS, HealthGIS etc for this on all the three activities covered (people, programmes and translation).

Best wishes,

Suchith
