At the Association of American Geographers (AAG) annual meeting on April 24 at Chicago, we will be holding a workshop as part of the CyberGIS Education Workshop<http://www.aag.org/cs/annualmeeting/schedule_and_program/field_trips_workshops/workshops> (1-5 pm April 24). This free workshop will introduce the Google Earth Engine (GEE) API and showcase its capability through a hands-on section where we will work through some scripts that are used in snow cover trend analysis. We recommend that you browse through the workshop tutorial<https://sites.google.com/site/globalsnowobservatory/aag-workshop> beforehand. Space is limited so sign up early.
Participants for the workshop should get permission to access GEE by filling out the form<http://earthengine.google.org/signup>. For the section asking you to describe what you'd like to accomplish with GEE, simply indicate that you would like to participate in our workshop. Once you have submitted the form, you will receive an email in your Gmail account indicating that you have access to GEE. The request for access to GEE should be submitted no later than April 17.
It is highly recommended that participants install Google Chrome on their laptops. Although GEE seems to work with other common browsers, Google recommends using Google Chrome.
