Hi Claus,
Thank you for organising Nepal mapathon at your university and also sharing this blog info on planning mapping sessions which i am sure will help others planning mapathons also.

Hi Suchith, hi all,
in preparation for a Nepal mapathon on Monday, I collected a few
guidelines for editing OpenStreetMap for Nepal and information on how to
map certain features such as roads of unknown type and groups of
residential buildings. This information may be of interest to other
OSGeo labs who are planning mapping sessions with inexperienced
OpenStreetMap contributors - see my blog post at
http://gis.blog.ryerson.ca/2015/04/27/notes-for-nepalquake-mapping-sessions-ryersonu-geography/.
Kind regards,
Claus

This will also help teach the students also the real essence of education and humanity and "sharing knowledge and expertise" to help each other in times of need.
