Hi Patrick,
Thank you for sharing this excellent info and congrats to all the students who developed this Europa Challenge Global Earthquake Forecast System and also the mentors who supported them.
Ron - it will be great if you can also send your slides on the America Bridge curriculum to the list. As Patrick said, we hope this becomes the World Bridge connecting teachers and students worldwide in learning and sharing ideas and experiences to help solve the global societal challenges from getting rid of extreme poverty to innovative solutions for helping protect the environment.
Best wishes,
Suchith

Suchith, Charlie, Cameron and EVERYBODY GIS Learning For All!
Here is a cakewalk for serving up GeoForAll education on a silver platter. By way of example, here is just one element of what Ron Fortunato of Trillium Learning provides in the GIS realm with their Europa Challenge project. See link below.
This Global Earthquake Forecast System (GEFS) is being built as just one element of a larger project-based learning curriculum for the State of Alaska School Districts. Ron will be at FOSS4G in Como, be sure to look him up.
Ron will be presenting this education experience on Friday in Room V2.12 at 9:50 AM: Project-Based Learning Using FOSS4G for a Global Earthquake Forecast System [1].
And in Auditorium 2 on Thursday at 4:00, PM Ron will speak other elements of the larger America Bridge curriculum, soon to become the World Bridge in concert with GeoForAll [2].
