Patrick,
I know you did excellent job in getting all the information already in the wiki page for Urban Science.
The webinar is to make sure the students in our 90+ labs , now know details about the Europa Challenge opportunity and get ideas on how they can use these concepts put at the Urban Science wiki to develop their own example applications for the challenge. That will make sure by July 2015 , we have a great collection of examples developed by these excellent students.
My suggestion is to keep the webinar (45 minutes in total+ 15 min Q&A) very basic. i.e. Give an overview of World Wind, then introduce the Europa challenge, how to join etc, show 1 or 2 examples from last year which focussed on urban theme, then briefly summarise the Urban Science & City Analytics thematic and then introduce the CitySmart App Challenge.
That way the student teams should be much better idea of how to focus their project on this. The faculty of the labs that already expressed interest to participate will act as mentors. We will encourage more faculty in our lab network to introduce the challenge opportunity to their students and webinar dedicated to this will be the best way to get this done.
We can arrange the webinar time to suit your availability. I will be in touch seperatly for this.
Best wishes,
Suchith

Suchith,
Thanks for the thought, though truth be told, the information is all there.
Not sure what more a Webinar might accomplish.

As it is, the CitySmart concept is clear and dearly needed by thousands of cities throughout the world.
Folks should feel free to step up to the plate and swing away.
Any CitySmart app development can begin anytime,
and as a bonus to the good deed itself,
this FOSSy app is free to be part of FOSS4G in Como
and the Europa Challenge if desired, this year and next!

Excellent Patrick. You are on a mission :-)
We will arrange a webinar this month itself on Urban Science Thematic where you and Chris can present ideas fully (and we will also use the NASA Europa challenge as a great launching pad to get all interested to work on this and get prototypes in place) and that will be great opportunity for us to move this forward.
Best wishes,
Suchith

OSGeo Developers, Software Students and Sorcerers,
The CitySmart Road Map Challenge awaits your indulgence still!
http://wiki.osgeo.org/wiki/GeoForAll_UrbanScience_CityAnalytics#CitySmart.2FSmartCity_Road_Map:_.27The_Challenge.27
We dearly need this Road Map to plot a CitySmart trajectory going forward.
Please win this one for all of us!
But 'time' waits for no one!
So, in the spirit of the 'future is now' please proceed!
Build some demo apps to show us your 'right stuff!'
Though we will be adding capabilities weekly, there is enough Web World Wind capability there now to build some pretty good demo webpages.
So another NASA Crystal Bull is up for grabs, and some big kudos and great press at FOSS4G Como to the best webpage using Web World Wind.
Send me the link to your webpage, we will highlight it.
Judging will occur during the second week of July.
