Hi Thomas,
Thank you for sharing this information. It is great to see the synergies building up between FOSS4G and OSM communities . Please actively promote FOSS4G collaborations with OSM communities
For info at FOSS4G Argentina 2017 http://www.foss4g-ar.org it is also great to see that OSGeo and OSM communities are coming together in South America. Great synergies and great lineup of keynote speakers.
Best wishes,
Suchith

Sorry for cross postings…
Hi There,
If you aren't yet aware, the annual US OpenStreetMap is coming to Colorado from October 20-22, 2017! This will be the 7th SOTMUS conference; the 1st SOTMUS in Colorado.
OSM is commonly referred to as the 'Wikipedia of maps', this year's conference will feature a robust hands-on workshop that will train high school and college educators to leverage open mapping tools centered around the OSM project. The workshop will be hands-on and will include classroom and field training sessions.
We are excited to offer the 'Open Mapping Basics For Educators' workshop at this years SOTMUS and hope that you will join us! The best part is that a ticket for all 4 days of the conference is only $35 for teachers! Please reach out to us and ask any and all questions - we are here to help you! We really look forward to having a great time in Colorado and help you open your classrooms to the many opportunities open mapping tools present!
