Subject: [QGIS-Developer] World Bank project - Open Source GIS in Presov region
Dear community,
we are QGIS (GIS) teachers at the University of Presov (Eastern Slovakia). We are Open Source fans and now we have become a great opportunity from World Bank which wants to help us to create a GIS department based on Open Source GIS technologies and Open Spatial Data Infrastructure in Presov Self-governing Region (NUTS 3; 600,000 inhabitans).
At the moment we are creating a team and searching people who have experience with the deployment of this kind of infrastructure in regional self-government. We need people who help us with the implementation and training of our staff. Project is funding by World Bank.
Please if you can help us, give us best practices and mainly to train us in your institution, feel free to contact us.
Best regards
Miloslav Michalko
