Dear colleagues,
Our colleagues in South America are the leaders of Open Science . They have been pioneering Open Science ideas for decades.
In 2018, the SciELO (Scientific Electronic Library Online) Program [1] will celebrate 20 years of operation, in full alignment with the advances of open science. The SciELO 20 Years Conference will address and debate – during its three-day program – the main political, methodological and technological issues that define today’s state of the art in scholarly communication and the trends and innovations that is shaping the future of the universal openness of scholarly publishing and its relationship with today’s Open Access journals, in particular those of the SciELO Network. Details at https://www.scielo20.org/en/
I was invited by GeoForAll colleague in Brazil , Prof. Luciene Delazari to share our ideas for the Open Science community. Though I am unable to attend the 20th anniversary of the SciELO meetings in Brazil because of other work commitments that time, I wish to send our greetings to all colleagues in South America on the 20th anniversary of the SciELO . We welcome all to work together for Open Principles in GeoEducation and Science. Details at https://blog.scielo.org/en/2018/07/13/geo-for-all-open-principles-in-geoeducation-and-science/
Best wishes,
Suchith
