The first Europeans to get Malaria in Africa thought it was because of
Mal – Air (Malaria)!
This is a short call to development enthusiast as well technological
proponents (even those on the opposite side) who wish to work with me
to pen a book on “contemporary technologies need” in Africa. I hope
such a book can guide our efforts; the academicians, politicians, the
corporate world as well technologists in a quest for life inspiring
work.
What exist in USA and Europe is remarkably breath taking.
However what exists also blinds 1600-1700 tour de force technological
breakthroughs and advances. Africa on the other hand offers 1600-1700
kind of innovation world.
Africa’s lack of adequate infrastructure fits in well with
contemporary technologies: take an example of convergence of Big Data,
Health Care, Development Planning and Infrastructure Design (off-grid)
in Africa and the British: Public Health Act 1875.
The same Act reached Uganda first in 1935 after 60 years.
There is more to the above act than what meets the eye: Infrastructure
Design, Modern Medical and Disease mitigation measures re;
nano-technology, geospatial applied sciences, off grid infrastructure,
Artificial Intelligence, Augmented Reality etc. How is bacteria
detected in dirty urban unpiped waters and slum areas in a one
developing country?
How much do European/USA inventors, innovators, technologists etc know
about Africa’s real structural needs?
We look at a critical topic you select and discuses it in an article.
It becomes a chapter!
We need a book – will you join dear professor?
Best Wishes
