The following special issue of which we, Prof. Augusto Pérez-Alberti and
Prof. Xosé Lois Otero-Pérez are the guest editors will be published in
Applied Sciences (http://www.mdpi.com/journal/applsci), and is now open to receive submissions of full research articles and comprehensive review papers for peer-review and possible publication:
Special Issue: Application in Coastal Ecosystems of Remote Sensing and GIS
Website:
https://www.mdpi.com/journal/applsci/special_issues/Coastal_Ecosystems_Remote_Sensing_GIS
Deadline for manuscript submissions: 30 June 2020
This Special Issue focused on use of remote sensing and Gis in Coastal Ecosystems, especially at rocky coast, marshes, lagoons, mangroves, estuaries etc. Potential topics include but are not limited to recent advances in the following areas:
Characterization through Remote Sensing and GIS of ecosystems:
• Rocky coasts
• Beaches and dunes
• Saltmarshes
• Mangroves
• Corals
• Lagoons
Analysis through Remote Sensing and GIS of:
• Coastal ecosystems evolution
• Erosion processes and ecosystem variations
• The impact of rising sea levels on the coastal ecosystems
• Integrated monitoring systems of coastal ecosystems
• Dynamics and stability of coastal habitats
Given your interesting work on the theme and related disciplines, I personally invite you and your colleagues to submit a contribution for this special issue in which some of the leading experts will describe their work, ideas and findings. You may be entitled to a discount if you have previously received a discount code or if your institute has established an institutional membership with MDPI, for more information see http://www.mdpi.com/about/memberships. They can be used with the discount together.
Applied Sciences is an online, peer-reviewed, open access journal, published semi-monthly by MDPI AG, Basel, Switzerland.
