[Geo4All] open source participation, call for testing

Good morning folks,

One topic that comes up with GeoForAll instruction and research is the
needed to communicate not only the technology of OSGeo, but the spirit of
participation that goes into making open source possible.

For any instructors that include GeoServer in their teaching material
please use this weeks GeoServer 2.17-RC release candidate
<http://geoserver.org/release/2.17-RC/> as an opportunity to both show how
participation works, and include students in the process.

While the GeoServer team is pretty confident this release candidate is good
and won't disrupt your class, we would appreciate exposure to a wider
audience of both environments and also data.

*Mass market open source thrives on having many people to review.
Scientific open source like GeoServer thrives on exposure to many datasets.*
