The Second United Nations World Geospatial Information Congress (UNWGIC 2022)<https://geospatialmedia.us6.list-manage.com/track/click?u=729be36461c9bca7afcd6bb23&id=a785b3a659&e=1f14d1c686> will be convened in Hyderabad, India from 10 to 14 October 2022. The Congress is being organized by the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (DESA) with the support of the Government of India through its Ministry of Science and Technology.

With the theme ‘Geo-Enabling the Global Village: No one should be left behind,’ the Second UNWGIC 2022 will reflect on the importance of integrated geospatial information for the benefit of humanity, leaving no one behind. It includes a high-level opening ceremony, plenary sessions, and a comprehensive schedule of thematic parallel sessions. The plenary sessions (11-13 Oct) will be dedicated to how geospatial information is vital for: supporting sustainable development and the well-being of society, environmental and climate challenges, and embracing digital transformation and technological development.
