Dear colleagues,

This might be of interest esp. for colleagues working in planning university strategy for research assessment, REF 2029, so please feel free to share this information.

On behalf of the Ethical Data Initiative, I am pleased to inform you that EDI in collaboration with the European Commission, Coalition for Advancing Research Assessment (CoARA) and
European Network for Research Integrity Offices (ENRIO) , is organising a full day conference on ‘‘Advancing responsible research assessment for funders in the European digital space: A dialogue on ethics, integrity, and open infrastructure’ on Monday 2 June 2025 in Brussels.

The conference will bring together the full spectrum of European stakeholders involved in research assessment—spanning the European Commission, research funding organisations (RFOs), research performing organisations (RPOs), infrastructure providers and developers, policy experts, and representatives from CoARA, ENRIO, and affiliated initiatives—for an open dialogue on the responsible integration of artificial intelligence into science and research funding mechanisms.
