Hi Jeff,

Thanks for the heads up -I'm ok with the move, but have not heard from too many other PSC members yet (aside from Eli). Can others chime in?

I imagine folks are busy, so we should just plan to go ahead, and at a minimum it can be a test of the new channel.

Unfortunately there has been more turmoil on the Freenode network of IRC
(all servers, channels and accounts were reset a few days ago), so, I
believe we must move to the new community-hosted IRC network,
irc.libera.chat (which is indeed very stable).  I had setup the
#geomoose channel there as backup earlier, and Jim & I had chatted there
after the last meeting.

There is also a webchat option (connect directly through your browser)
at: https://web.libera.chat/?channels=#geomoose   and a great main page
listing connection options etc : https://libera.chat There is much
community momentum there now.

Background: I was hesitant to push the final red button on Freenode, as
sometimes it's best to let the dust settle before making any further
decisions.  But, in this case the dust is still being stirred ha, so we
must make the move.

I hope we can move tomorrow's PSC meeting to this network, which should
be a smooth transition for everyone.
