Does the current down load have the METADATA strings set correctly in the mapfiles for searching? I remember Randy running into this bug, Brian (you) made a change to it and then things began to work. It was something about a MS5.0 change.

Jay, I am not for sure what is going on.
Did you get my email about coming to my office and going through this stuff?
Or I could come to your office.

To debug a layer I like to use this
method:

The easiest way to debug a layer is to use
Firefox, then go under the tools menu and click page info. The go to the
media tab. This will list all the images in the current web page.
Scroll down to the one that has a URL with your road mapfile layer name in it
and copy the URL. Then past this URL into a new browser window.
This will give you the Mapserver error and tell you what is wrong with the
mapfile.

Another good way to debug these
applications is to use the Firebug addon in Firefox.

Search not working - Please help

Hello -

Hoping soemone can help me here…

I am very new to this and installed
Apache, started the service, installed GeoMOOSE and was off….everything
seemed to be working great.

I started messing aroudn with the code by
recreating another search like the park search. I created this search
based on one of my layers that I added.

It was then that I noticed that the search
worked up until it was to highlight the returned record. It found the
Park, zoomed to the park but times out on the highlight.

I thought it was my code so I removed all
the stuff I added and its still an issue.

I then stoped Apache, changed the MS4W
folder to MS4W_old.

Removed the Apache Service

UnZipped the Apache into the C: Drive

Started Apache

Unzipped GeoMoose into the C: Drive

Started GeoMoose running all defaults and
It still bombs out on the "Highlight" when trying to Search for a
park. It finds it, Zooms to it but WONT highlight or select it.

Right now I have am using the application right
out of the box…nothing is changed, NO Layers added

What can be causing this….are there
some residual files that can be causing this error?

Lost!!!!!
